dont pee on the alamo.

what the hell? first of all, i am surprised that he wasn't beaten to a pulp at the scene, maybe texans are mellowing out in 2014, but i don't think so.
secondly, does anyone really want to pay to feed and house this young man for eighteen months when he could be returning the slight to the alamo by working there?
he could be the alamo's butler.

El Paso man, 23, gets 18 months in jail for urinating on Alamo | News - Home

When they say don't mess with Texas, they mean it.

I've been to the Alamo several times.

Once you get off the plaza and inside, you understand.

When you stand on the very spot where men were given no quarter and lost their lives, you understand.

Guy may as well have pissed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier or the USS Arizona.

It's hardly a slight.

But you are correct, he's lucky he did not get beaten to a pulp in addition to getting the 18 months.

Maybe he was looking for the basement.

Just another dog lifting his leg. Pay it no mind.

That guy must have a hell of a strong flow to do all that damage to a structure that has stood all those years.

Our forefathers had it right.

Put him in stocks right in front of the facility.

Sign next to him saying what he did.

The visitors will let him know how they feel.

Yep. He should be sentenced to pick up litter on the grounds and empty the trash. Sleep at night in prison.

The last time I was at the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor a group of Japanese were laughing and acting like it was Disney world. My wife stopped me from making a big scene while explaining that they are at a grave site.

18 months for peeing on a war grave? Sounds about right to me.

What happened to those Marines that peed on those dead Taliban soldiers?
Without Goggling it I would bet they got a lot worse than that.

EDIT: That's my 8,000th Post!

I think Ozzy Osbourne did that years ago but I'm too lazy to Google it.

Ozzy pee'd on the statue out in the plaza and not on the actual Alamo as many believe.

Still was not appropriate.

In Ozzie's defense he was black out drunk and likely was not even aware he was peeing much less what he was peeing on.

Still, not appropriate.

Ozzie was banned from San Antonio for 10 years over it.
