I have no idea what this is - I've never seen anything like it before. All I know is that it's not mine and I've never seen or touched it before. I honestly have no idea what it is.

Italian VS50 antipersonnel land mine. I've blown up several in Afghanistan. If you step on one it's unlikely to kill you, but you'll need a new leg from the knee down.
