Why do people do this?

MORE does not always equal BETTER. I was at Wally-World this afternoon and spotted this little gem. Apparently he really wants to be a pirate someday and if you look closely in the second picture you'll see that he's got a few extra gauges installed - I stopped counting at 12. Enjoy!

Maybe he owns a Pep Boys franchise. If not, Prozac might quell that OCD.

So let me see If I've got this correct. This bothered you enough to stop and take a couple pictures?

There are these newfangled things called smart phones. Shockingly, some of them have built in cameras.

You'd be surprised to watch how quickly the whippersnappers these days can shoot a photo.

His wife shops at chinamart too....and you were there LOL
I would wear a disguise if i ever had to go there.

Chocaholic 04-25-2014 02:59 PM

We go there all the time. No disguise necessary. Only Neimann Marcus for you?

You have ask him about the pirate thing.

I'm sure it is his baby, and you see alot of the pirate thing around here for some reason. I was more bewildered by the number of gauges he was running. I'm still trying to figure out 12 things to measure on a gas-powered Chevy truck. To each his own i guess - who am I to judge?

86 ssinit 04-25-2014 03:19 PM

Those may not be gauges but beer can holders and ash trays.

Because he is free to do so.

john70t 04-25-2014 04:38 PM

To individualize something. Make it your own.
The Japanese manufacturers even started selling ricer kits because the market want was so high.

vonsmog 04-25-2014 06:53 PM

The pirate thing is for the website Pirate4x4.com which is one of the largest off road sites on the web.

aquazulu2 04-26-2014 12:33 AM

He wants to be in front of the computer fault codes, preventive observation pre fault codes. No idiot codes for this guy.

Porsche-O-Phile 04-26-2014 01:36 AM
