Austin, TX bound
I've (re) met my junior high girl friend and I see a future for us. I love her and have spent enough time around Texas that I know I love the people and the culture there. I actually lived in Austin as a kid while my dad was a professor at UT.
I've been a contractor here in Colorado for almost twenty years. I've spent the last year and half as an auto broker. I'm asking my Pelican brothers if they know of any job openings in the Austin, Georgetown area. I can manage construction, sell just about anything, or dig ditches. I have a degree from UCSD if that matters. Thanks for the help! Jesse Wurmbrand |
I'm sorry, I don't have anything to offer other than welcome, congrats and good luck.
Austin is a very cool little town. |
Wow, pretty crazy life decision, but good luck from a fellow Triton.

Woah! Dude. Lets go to the campus first!

Austin is a pretty groovy little town.

hahah..i did the same thing.
met a girl for a week of hanging out..stayed a year and a half! awesome town. my mom was pissed.. |
Yeah, change your entire life for a woman, because she won't come to you.
It works better if they come to you. Shows a level of commitment. |
Agreed. If you do everything on her terms you'll end up miserable. You're an individual and have your own needs and interests too.
|
You never know if you don't give it a go.
Hope it works out for you. I was at a conference in Austin a few years ago and liked the city and the music/bars. |
Sounds like a fun adventure. Stock up on burnt orange or they'll run you out of town.;) I don't know Austin but I love TX in general.

Go for it, OP. Five years ago, I moved from Tulsa, OK to the NC coast to be with my girlfriend. It was a no-brainer. Tulsa, or a 2 minute walk to the beach? You decide... Carter |
