Go-Kart Wiring

Ok,
I got a Go-Kart "project" from my in-laws for practically nothing and all I have to do is rewire what looks to be a rather gruesome meltdown that took place at some point.
This is a garden variety Chinese Go-Kart with a 150cc aircooled 4 stroke that's about 9 yrs old.

I was able to find a wiring diagram for this thing online:

In order to make it easier to read, I went out and compared the diagram to my harness and found that it is probably 90% correct (with regard to the wire colors).

I used MS Paint and colored it to make it easier to read:

Please take a look at the starter solenoid relay and tell me if I'm crazy or if there is a boo-boo in the drawing...

Yeah, you want your lights to turn on when you try to start it right?

I think the coil and contacts are crossed...

That's a poor relay drawing. Presumably the bottom side of the starter solenoid is the coil...

I'd wire up the bare minimal to get it cranking.....

I had one of those......when you can't get it started, it's because the carbs gunk up really easy........
