Ride in a BizJet for free?

There has got to be some sort of catch to this, but Tempest Jets is going to let people ride on their unbooked legs for free (or cheap).

Hobo Jet | Where the poor fly private

I'm trying to wrap my head around how they will reconcile the private legs vs. the charter legs, pay the federal excise fees ... etc, etc. Seems like a nightmare of paperwork to me.

Interesting concept. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I can hop a ride sometime.

Interesting concept. Wait until they fly the first one into a condo complex or football stadium. Or worse/better still Washington DC.

Won't be long before they will charge thru the nose. They would be better served flying medical cases and take a tax write off. Then they can avoid the magic marker graffiti on the seats.

The part 91 vs 135 legs is no big deal (we did it all the time) and they are asking for full legal names I assume to check the no fly list. We were allowed to do it with family or friends but this is cool!

Most of those jets dead leg anyway. Make the most of it.... Sounds like a good idea.

Good way to expose more people to private jet travel, at no added cost. Cool idea. Hopefully I can catch a flight at some point...

There are a couple of these systems around to book on dead legs for private aircraft. There is a huge data base for the make a wish foundation where you can register your dead legs as well and they look to see if you can move a sick kid to a hospital or what not.
There is even one for pet relocation I think....
