There's a lost cockatiel being reported in Dartmouth, NS with the following description
"he's smart and can sing and talk", he say's "my name is Spike" and "whatcha doing?"
and whistles "if you're happy and you know it" and the "Tequila song" and "The Andy Griffith Theme" $500 reward. Hope they find him, he's sounds like a barrel of laughs!!

My brother has an African Grey parrot. Hard to believe how smart they can be. he picks up everything.

We had a cockatiel many years ago that whistled "the Andy Griffith Theme" song constantly. It kind of got old after a while however as every kid that walked through the door would whistle and get him going again...

Very messy eaters, had birdseed all over the floor around his cage but are very entertaining birds all right.

Small world, My dad taught his African Grey the Andy Griffith theme song by watching the episodes.

A friend of mine had one. It was a very noisy bird especially if bored or ignored. If they had guests and wanted to chat with each other she had to put the bird in the garage in it's cage. One day when they were having a big dinner the police arrived. The bird was in the garage yelling "help help call the police" and someone walking by did. They had to show the cop it was just the bird.
