Wow, I guess we've got a real nutjob in the forums. I get this:

It goes on from there, and gets much worse. It would be nice if we could track them down based on IP address and have them permanently banned.

I suspected him too. I got one of those, but it must have gotten deleted. I do seem to remember it had a place in Old Blighty for a locale. Could not tell you the name on it to save my life.

I know 15 years ago I was able to track ip's back to the isp then you could talk to the police in that jurisdiction (or fbi if it was interstate) they could get a court order for who it was and take it from there, I am pretty sure they can do it faster today

If the guy is a simpleton it would be easy to track his IP. But its also pretty easy to mask ones IP if you want. I'm not interested in law enforcement, he's just a wackjob behind a keyboard. But if he is a regular here, he should be permanently banned.

A search on the internet will show you this person plays no favorites. As gcord374 they hit a blogger. As STFU s_ithead he attacked a Broncos fan site. Etc Etc. When he sent me the same message it was on a 914 board. For the longest time I thought he was a dwarf that lived with his mother in Vancouver, BC. That turd signed me up for free porno sites (like I care). Enjoy that you have joined a exclusive club. :)

You really have to wonder at the mentality of some who would send you an email like that.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. Report, Delete and move on.

Forums etc are about light entertainment to me, nothing more.
I really don't understand why anybody would take anything that happens online so seriously but I also understand not everyone is like me.
