Received a gift card from a stranger today
My daughter and I took our weekly Sunday morning drive to the donut shop in the 911 this morning. Last night, she must have spilled hot chocolate on the inside of the windshield?????. We parked and I had the trunk open getting my glass cleaner out when a young man in a Chrysler 200 with blacked out wheels parked next to us. He asked if I needed help, I explained what I was doing and he went inside.
When we got to the order counter he was just finishing paying for his stuff when he stepped over and gave me the gift card and said" here, I don't come here often". I was dumbfounded. I think I told him thanks 3 or 4 times as well as did my daughter. I guess karma(good and bad) has a way of coming back. I explained that we must have done something good. I can be an a$$ at times like most everybody but I try my darndest to be charitable whenever possible, especially when I my kids are around. We used the card to buy our breakfast.
