Do you like vodka?

I crave it sometimes. Super chilled in a small shot glass.

I rarely drink it anymore. It beats me up now. I still make a kickass vodka pasta sauce.

I like grey goose. Mmmm

Nope. Can't stand hard alcohol. Last shot I had was a few years back in Aspen. Sitting in a bar next to a few of the bartender's friends. He was pouring some expensive cognac or something and poured me a shot as well. I drank it out of courtesy. Blech, can't stand any of that stuff.

Vodka is basically just everclear/moonshine that has been watered down to 80° (there's no musts for what vodka must be made from like potatoes or anything like that). For me, if I was going to have vodka, it would be in a mixed drink of some sort. I do understand though and figure if you're going to drink vodka, it should probably be good stuff that's been distilled so that it's very clean.

But then I'm not much of a drinker and don't really do hard liquor much at all these days.

If I drink hard liquor, it's likely to be a margarita on the rocks with a good tequila and Grand Marnier.

I don't think you're actually supposed to "shoot" expensive cognac (or even not-expensive cognac).

Not sure what it was anymore. It was hard and horrid.

I don't drink much, but I love the flavors. I love the taste of bourbon and Irish whiskey. An ice cold vodka martini in a chilled glass with little shards of ice floating on top and olives swimming below is an elegant treat.

I love me a good Jamacian rum mixed with a bit of cola for coloring. I believe the last time I did shots of anything, it was my 21st birthday and Tequilla was the poison.....that cured me of doing shots right there. Mostly I drink a beer or two now.

Vodka is like drinking isopropyl alcohol. Never understood the allure.

Scotch, tequila, bourbon. Had a glass of Oban the other night, just perfect.

I don't see the point in drinking straight vodka. I always use it as the alcohol component of a mixed drink. The mom's loved my Screwmosas at the mother's day brunch yesterday.
Screwmosa:
2 parts Champagne
2 parts orange juice
1 part 80 proof vodka

Never much of a vodka fan but when I do have a bloody mary, I have it made up with Tito's. It's not a potato vodka, it's distilled from Corn. It's the only vodka that I can actually drink straight up. The others all feel like battery acid going down my throat...

Besides, the company supports rescue and therapy dogs, plus its made in Texas. What's not to like?
