I'm a bit miffed.

I’m a bit miffed.

I post on UK Daily Mail. I have about 25,000 likes and 8,000 dislikes so I can’t be too much of an a-hole.

There was an article about a boatload of Africans who drowned trying to make it to Europe. I commented that they gambled their lives for a life in Britain where the tax payers went out and worked for them, providing a free house and money for food and a car. Gambled their lives but lost. That was all I said. Most of the pathetic English had posts saying they should be flown to Britain so they wouldn’t put their lives at risk etc.

The pricks at UK Daily Mail have banned me as sent me the following email,

Are you certain that is the post that got you banned? Did they say it was, or are you assuming it is because it was your most recent.

It might be interesting to ask them if you aren't sure... if you're gonna be tossed out of a joint, it's good to know why, eh?

Bill Douglas 05-16-2014 11:02 PM

Definitely this post. They usually delete my posts if it isn't anything other than lovey dovey comments. There was once an article about Princess Diana dancing with Ronald Reagan, Tom Selleck and some other guys. I only said she is certainly safe dancing with Tom Selleck and they gave me an official warning that I was close to being banned.

Umm  it might be a bit late to ask them for further explanation as I sent them an email back calling them certain names.

Gogar 05-16-2014 11:14 PM

You'll survive. Unlike those poor Africans. :)

Truly, you have no legal or moral 'right' to participate in the discussion on a private website. Much like Pelican. If they want to ban everyone with a user name "Douglas", that's their perogative.

Move along and be happy.

I'm not "getting the joke" here... aka "why would that comment get you a warning?"

What would your guess be... that the mods are unfriendly to views critical of the concept of the growth of public assistance? I assume they didn't delete the post/s re: the government providing air travel for refugees.

Either way, I thought the British were supposedly well known for their deeply cherished appreciation of satire, especially when it concerns the follies of government and politics.

Journalists in Britain tend to be ultra left. And if you say anything other than supporting the lefties the post gets deleted.

Bill. get a grip. You were posting on The Daily Mail.

It is a right wing rag of a paper. I doubt there are many left wing journos there.

The pricks at UK Daily Mail

I don't know what kind of people are posting on the site. However, I'm off to a footy tournament this afternoon and I can guarantee that anyone I stopped and asked their opinion, would definitely have no sympathy for them.

You got the bit about pricks at The Daily Mail spot on.

DanielDudley 05-17-2014 02:12 AM

Buy the paper. Toss those wankers.

I don't assume every black African goes to the UK to sponge. I don't care if Tom Selleck is gay.

What else you got ? I'm guessing a lot.

cabmandone 05-17-2014 02:39 AM

This PC, can't offend anyone world will be the death of us all.

onewhippedpuppy 05-17-2014 03:23 AM

Sounds like a pretty lame site anyway, no big loss.

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588 when threatened by the Spanish Armada.
I just hope you don't get "A Bit Cross" with them...:p

You're not half the a-hole that people say you are!;)
I kid....

Chocaholic 05-17-2014 03:55 AM

They did you a favor. If you know their game, why would you want to play at all?

The likes / dislikes ratio indicate Bill is only 1/3 a-hole :D

I see it this way. If I was an African with no prospects of a good life in Africa then I would likely do the same thing. Climb on a boat and take my chances.

I think your comment about the UK taxpayer supporting the migrant probably got under the skin of the moderator You are being overly sensitive. You can't be liked by everybody. Move on!

Thanks for the excellent advice and words of support guys. The particular part of Daily Mail was not so much news but rather celeb's going to hollywood events type stuff. Maybe I'll stick to cars, guns, chainsaws and dogs.
