Parade: what to do
Need opinions from the interwebs...
I have to at least take my family to Monterey and let them enjoy the place while I join some activities. I live about 60 miles away in the South Bay. We plan on staying there ask I didn't want to drive back and forth everyday. Problem is, we won't fit in the 911 anymore, my wife doesn't drive and I have never towed a trailer in my life. Should I - A. Get a trailer and tow the 911 B. Hire a shipper or a flatbed C. Other ideas Thank you. |
Roof rack?
Can't she hop on the bus and you squeeze the kids into the 911. It might be an incentive for her to learn to drive. |
2 trips each way?

If I casually mention it there will be no photo sessions in the garden... ;) |
You might try to do some networking locally with shops and PCA to see if someone else can drive your car down or transport it down. Likely there are some opportunities.

I have towed cars to events before. It can be really civilized. With the right tow rig, it can be quite nice to arrive in a relaxed state. Of course some people might leave the wife at home and bring a child who would enjoy the experience.

Before you decide on a tow plan check out where you will store the trailer and tow vehicle. Parking is going to be crazy tight. They said over 1,200 people are registered. Parking will be full at the main hotel all the time. It is going to be a pain to find a place to park.
