wow,
don't really know what to say...
I can tell you growing up in Australia how big motor sport is. Especially the Australian stock car events. But this guy was held in such high regard, many forget he started out building his cars. Still the only driver to win driving his own car-team owned no?
A very sad day...

His world championship win in 1966 was achieved in a car of his own construction, the rear-engine BT19. He remains the only man in history to have designed, built and driven a championship-winning car.

As for records, no one will ever achieve that.
