I am a bit of a factory nerd, having spent a lot of time in aircraft factories as a pilot and as a program manager in DoD.

No place I'd rather be than on the factory floor.

The original assembly line where the Model T's were first made is still open for tours.

My first job was a "Factory hand" for Mitsubishi motors. I was 17 and very Green to say the least.
Luckily after 18 months I got retrenched and in desperation for a job I joined the Army. As it turns out that was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

The only thing I did learn working on that production line was... What NOT to do for a living.

For me it was seriously depressing work. You do the same task 300+ times a day and belive me that wears thin after a while.
..... Thank the sweet "Bejeezus" they sacked me.
