Race DAY 2014

Monaco, Indy and the 600, I am going to tune in to all three throughout the day. Hopefully a few household chores will get done. Anybody else going to watch??

I'm onboard, but I'll be running to Home Depot between F1 and the 500. SmileWavy

Rosburg wins

Yes Nico wins in Monaco, pole winners have great drives in recent years. A venue for the ultimate party but on the track nowhere to pass.

Indy 500 safe race with a great finish for RHR

The decision to red flag the race at the end was a good one. We finally see a green flag finish.

Ed Carpenter proves he is related to Tony George with his comments about his accident.

Oh and another thing.....

ABC- can you wait and show wives/gf's in split-screen until AFTER they cross the finish line please.

Must give Kurt Busch credit on a strong 6th place finish, not bad for a "rookie" in a backup car

I never watch F1 in any timeslot or for any reason. I tuned in the last 50 laps of Indy and probably will watch most of the Coca Cola 600. I just really have no interest in open wheel.

Usually I don't agree. I **hate** contrived finishes. The racing should end as the rules say they should. If that means it finishes under yellow, so be it. That's the way it goes. The year Rick Mears won by 2 laps--that's the way it goes/went. None of these WWF/mystery debris caution with 2 laps to go to bunch up the pack and set up a green/white/checker finish.

But then I saw some guys welding repairs to the SAFER barrier, which would make racing sense to throw the red flag for truly unsafe racing conditions.
