Air cooled = good

New toy....er actually a project. 83 R100RS with 89,000 miles on it. Needs lots of work, but looks OK from 10 feet away.

Never owned a BMW bike before. A new adventure. I like learning new stuff on my own.

It will be fun. I restored an '83 R65 a few years ago. Great bike.

basket case

I purchased my 1976 R60/6 as a basket case. As a result of restoring and riding this one I bought the silver 2007 R1200RT in the background. Beemer's are great bikes, you won't be disappointed. Warren

Great bike. Have fun.

I had one for 15 years, and have fond memories.

Being able to roll it around the garage on my scrap lumber stand was well worth the $6 investment for the HF castors.

Bwa ha, I love that stand! Yes +1, my R65 only needed the header wrench and the ground down swing arm socket for "non standard" tools. And I turned every fastener on that thing.

CONGRATS Dennis and welcome to the Pelican Airhead Gruppe!

At 89K miles that baby is just getting broken in.

Is that a factory cowl? If not......get that thing off asap! Love the hard cases though.

Have fun and keep us updated!
