Call the dealer here and have a good laugh on this price:

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-owned Vehicle Locator

The part that sucks is those that own a 930 are now setting on inflated money. Insurance companies might like it. The bar has been set, and it's not real high anymore.

OK, STFU wins.....but I'm not going to tell my wife...that too will be a STFU!

Sir, you are on FIRE today. :)

The dude obviously owned a nice 930 for a number of years that makes him a friend in my book. It is always good to try to help a friend even if some times it doesn't go to plan.

I saw that car within a few minutes of it being posted.
Didn't have $35k handy.

I have had someone do the same thing on the parts forum here. I was pissed as the seller withdrew his offer to sell to me when someone told him it was listed too cheap.

One popped up here for $28K a few weeks ago. Red. 80K miles. I was one of the first responders. Told him I was very serious and would like to see it asap. By the time I sent that he'd already got an "I'll take it" from someone else.

Whoah! Yes indeed! I will do the honorable thing!

Poor fellow! He just doesn't know what he has! .....LOL!

Another effen scammer with only 1 post....let me guess? His paypal is dormant......GTFOOH!

andyt11 06-17-2014 09:13 AM

top class! He pinched the pics / info from here:

Used 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe in Naples, FL near 34104 | WP0AB2A99ES121404 | Auto.com

you'd think if you were going to steal info like this and try to scam someone, you'd not post the VIN number and you'd pick a somewhat sensible asking price.

Hey Alex - FWIW I applaud that you had good intentions. I guess I also understand others' positions that maybe it would have been best to just leave it alone and let the "chips fall where they may". But hells bells - you had no idea the car had been sold at that point so in the end if any blame is to be placed....I feel the seller could and should have done a better job pricing his 930....that's where the brunt of responsibility lies. IMHO.

Yes, I probably should have kept my nose clean on this one Baz, but, in the end the seller did appreciate what I did...so I'll leave it at that!

Very interesting naval quote Seahawk!

OT, but was it ever proven that the pilot, Donald F. Mason, did in fact sink that Uboat off NFLD in 1942?....cool story!

gostraight 06-17-2014 11:02 AM

you should've:

1. STFU

2. send me the link immediately .

wdfifteen 06-17-2014 11:04 AM

Your only mistake was not asking if the car was sold before you told him it was underpriced. Once it was sold, Gogar is right. Don't get in the middle of a done deal.

Head416 06-17-2014 11:04 AM

Initial message to let him know he was asking way below market sounds like a Good Samaritan to me.
