I can think of nothing less likely to fly than a helicopter!

My top ten list of non-performing assets in order based on my experience.

1. Aircraft Both Rotary and Fixed
2. Horses
3. Boats
4. Performance Autos
5. RV's
6. Second homes- non rent producing
7. Power Sports Equipment Motorbikes/ ATV's
8. Firearms
9. Tractors
10. Unimproved Real Estate

The problem is they are all quite fun in the same order. But Expensive.

First lottery buy would be a Bell UH-1

Stretched cabin, 4-bladed head, and better engines. Unfortunately, the transmission didn't get upgraded and was "the weak link". It could not handle enough power to make this helicopter a true contender against the S76 or the AW109.

I went for a test flight today. There are a few minor things to address and they will be done. I'm looking at around $7000. That is for the annual inspection, wing leveler install, and repair on my rudder.

They still need to paint the rudder and adjust the idle, and put the back seats in. I'm going out of town so it's suppose to be sitting in my hangar when I get back.

It was nice to be able to get back in the air, and I'm happy with the work, but feel that it should have been done a little quicker. They were not working on it full time.

The S76 is a beauty as well.

DM, at least it is flying again. Sounds like it is almost 100% again.
