If there was no vintage constraints, and I wasnt so worried about parfing up the place, I might say Religion

you don't want to PARF the thread... but you said it anyway, I would say secular humanism.

For all of the trophy wives married to 90 year old rich men I would say Viagra is the worst invention.

You noticed that. Great. I was playing around a bit and should have known to be a little more disciplined. As a show of good faith, I will resist the temptation to discuss further.

Lets see how you feel about that when you are 90....

Though hardly an invention - the introduction of tetraethyl lead. In the long run - not one of our better ideas.

the 2015 Hellcat.:(

tadink 07-02-2014 10:19 AM

the ability to text and drive - simultaneously. That should be able to be un-invented!

The Kardashians.

There are a few hundred kids killed every year that show this has yet to be invented.

scottmandue 07-02-2014 11:58 AM

Well, one could say that Thomas Midgley, Jr. invented it, or developed it. He also developed Freon, good for refrigerant but bad for the ozone layer.

So many good ones but I'd have to go with WMDs.

I think it's a 3-way tie between the Yugo, Windows 8, and my old Sony laptop that I always wanted to punch in the face.

Old people

Heel n Toe 07-02-2014 03:37 PM

Might not be the worst, but very near the top of my list: rear view mirrors that are attached by being glued to the windshield.

Complete idiocy.

You mean you like the kind that is attached to a post between the dash and top of the car, circa 1962? I was not even born then, so I'm thinking those must have been really swell!

Sounds good to me... especially compared to one that can fall off and require a trip to the auto parts store for a glue kit to reinstall.

Rearview mirrors should be screwed on, not glued on. ;)

A post between the dash and the roof? Like a split windshield post? If so, you may be off by a decade or so.
:)
