Good book on sports car basics?

Hey all -

I'm a happy Carrera 3.2 owner but I've got a lot less technical know how than I'd like

can anyone recommend a basic book that gives a good overview of a sports car's most important components - engine, transmission, suspension, etc.?

I'd like to learn about each of these but the books/websites I find are usually more technical/in depth than I can keep up with. I'm just looking for a good primer to get me going
