What happened to former Excellence editor Greg Brown?

Well, I'm catching up on my reading and I just picked up Issue #220 and read that Greg Brown is gone and the new editor is Greg Hudock.
Just idle curiosity but, what happened to Brown. Seems like a rather abrupt departure in the middle of the night...

I was wondering the same thing.
There was a recent piece in the last few months in Excellence talking about the importance of transparency, but Brown's departure, and the sudden appointment of the other guy, seems fairly mysterious.
Excellence is going to have a very difficult time replacing Pete Stout. Maybe impossible. I hate to say it, but the quality of the mag went down after Stout left, and it's gone down even further with this current editor. Stout's standards for writing (in all aspects, accuracy of facts, flow, prose, typos, etc.) was very, very high.

But panorama is noticeably better now. :)

Was another thread about this recently. So Pano is worth reading now? I let it go a few years ago when the only stuff worth reading were the classifieds.

I've stopped reading Excellence years ago. I have no interest in the newer cars and wagons. And any article on my era of car (SC) seem to be same old..., same old...

I know. I never thought I would be letting my sub to Excellence lapse, but there is no 'there' there.

Panorama is superlative now. A completely different magazine- and it doesn't hesitate to criticize Porsche when warranted.

I've noticed Excellence has slipped quite a bit but with Pete gone you had to expect that. The one I'm canceling, however, is Autoweek- now every two weeks and thin as a wafer.

Same here. I have subscribed for over 30 years but Auto-biweekly has just become useless.

Pano is great now.

He bought a challenger.
