Car selling ethics question...
I currently have a VW single cab truck for sale, and I pissed off a potential buyer. This guy wanted me to take extra pictures of specific areas, which I was more than happy to oblige. I took the pictures, and rather than email him a bunch of huge files, I put them on Google drive and sent him the link. What pissed him off was I edited the original ad with the link, so anyone could see the other pictures. When I talked to him the next time, he was pissed about this. I don't understand how he has any grounds for a complaint - at all. I could see if he paid for a PPI and I shared that info with other potential buyers, but I took the pictures and shared them from my Google account. As an aside - he's also trying to lowball me pretty hard.
So, I don't think I did anything wrong by sharing with the rest of the world the specific pictures he asked for. Thoughts?

You did nothing wrong. This guy wants the truck bad, plus he wants it cheap, plus he want to be the only one with all the knowledge...
People are funny. Tell him due to the overwhelming response since you posted the new pictures, the price just went way up...

Ignore him as he is being an ass. The car is still available but lots of new interest so the price is firm.

Amazing how many people out there still think they are smarter than the sellers. Jeez, you only deal with these things DAILY, right? No free lunch for this guy. I get that type of BS the buyer- trying to hassle and haggle a deal, I just walk. I know what I'm holding, and some slick talking moron isn't going to take it from me.

What you're doing is being fair- giving anyone who is interested the same information so everyone can make up their own mind and tender an offer or not based on the same knowledge base.

Like in I tell my students - if you have a question about a lab, post on the discussion so *everyone* can see the replies/answers/help. If one person has the question, chances are someone else does...
Same goes even further for buying a car or spoon via pictures - if one person wants to see a particular area in more detail, any other knowledgeable buyer will want to see the same.

You have a car for sale. Your only obligation right now is to yourself. Get the best price you can for it. You are not obligated to make him happy or help him to lowball you.
