Pull the walls together plumb, then lock 'em tight.

That's exactly how it was fixed. I drove by the place a couple months or so after looking at it and the garage door was open with a couple guys working inside. Eye bolts thru the top plates with a comealong to pull the walls straight. They sistered 2x6's against the trusses and filled in the missing 2x4 and then another 2x6 on the other side. I asked why 2x6's and they said they couldn't get 2x4's that long without ordering whole lift.
