Red Bull X Fighters, HOW?
Been watching this competition on Fox Sports. I'm astounded at just how far the envelope has been pushed in X Game style competitions. How does anyone even practice this type of chit? I know that often these guys have their own ramps and tracks and foam pits, but still!!!! I'd be nervous just standing on top of one of these ramps or jumps. And actually it isn't just limited to moto-x jumping, even skateboarding, snowboarding, and BMX have been pushed to limits the founding fathers could not even have dreamed of!

Bicycles with no wheels on trampolines.
Bicycles with wheels into pools. Dirtbikes into giant pits filled with giant foam blocks.

It's the kind of thing where you have to be committed. To bail on the approach will certainly lead to injury!

Tremendous coordination and internal gyro (spacial orientation). most will probably be in a wheelchair by 65.
I went to Lake Placid to watch the aerial (ski) qualifying for the last olympics and those folks also have amazing talent, many from a gymnastics background. |
