Malformed link, there's an extra /ttp:// at the end.

It's the big barn in Portugal we've all seen already.

Between the utterly retarded premise of this and the fact that it's been posted and debunked thousands of times across the net, I'm amazed that there are still people who are dumb enough to attempt to propagate it.

sorry!! not spam just a badly typed link address. Should have checked it before i posted.
I just saw this for the first time, did not realize it was posted here before.

Why do we think it to be BS? All the photos seem to be of the same background.

This story first appeared about 10 years ago. It has many variants from "Guy buys abandoned building" to "Photographer out for a walk" peaks into window.

If you think about it logically there are no "Barn Finds" especially one where someone buys 180 cars and puts them into a building and then forgets about them. Someone had to know those cars are in there. In this case the owner hired someone to take pictures of his cars and those pictures were leaked and the stories began.

If you run across the "Photographer out for a walk peaks in window", look at the first picture. The windows are 10' (or more) up the wall. So unless he was out taking his ladder for a walk it didn't happen either.

My 69 was a "found" in a wood shed. The PO stored it in his dads wood shed (where his dad stored wood) for 16 years. The car had a bad clutch and he drove it in there and covered it with a tarp. 16 years later I bought it.

but something drew you to this one...something that shouted ... or maybe whispered... just maybe, a true diamond in the rough...a lost...maybe forgotten piece of lore that while covered in dust or bird droppings was at one time the very acme, the pinnacle, the apex of style and performance...

But once again your hope dashed only to be let down...

but I bet you open another...not today but someday....they always do, they always do....

I love the mystery of barn finds. My dad owned a service and towing business. In the early 70s he went to tow an old car in, and found a barn, literally full of pre WWII model cars. Dusenberg, Packard, all that stuff

We tried to buy them but were unable to bid quite high enough. The find itself was exciting but the inability to buy a let down.

Those cars are still out there waiting to be discovered.

An ex neighbour has a rare Dusenberg hidden under his house. He has always been very secretive about his car collection, especially not telling his wife.

He has stuff squirrelled away everywhere. He's loosing his memory and has probably forgotten what he has. He is an ex engineer and I had to help him put a new battery in his daily driver. It was a simple task but he couldnt remember (or work out) how to do it.

All his friends his age have passed on as well - so there will be some amazing barn discoveries in a few years when he goes too.
