Short quadcopter video and stills from our truck show

In between storm clouds I sent the quadcopter up and got a few seconds of video and a couple of stills at our antique truck show Saturday.

What camera system are you using? It looks like you avoided flying over the show cars - I can imaging the ire of the owner of a damaged truck would be a big bummer. The aerial point of view is always nice to have - many have bought planes to bring their eyes up for a view that your camera gives.

I'm hesitant to fly mine now after the last crash. I might go with a pro platform, just not sure yet which one. That's not too bad, but you do need a 2D gimbal.

A gimbal would mean a new copter, which may happen. Just the weight of the camera cuts the flight time on a windy day like that one almost in half.
I have to find ways to overcome other problems
The monitor on this system is my iPhone. On a sunny day I can't see it very well.
I was concerned about flying over the trucks so I was watching the copter instead of the monitor copter a lot
People kept coming up talking to me and distracting me a lot.

I'm at a truck show today that's located on a small airfield with one grass strip. There is some guy out here flying a quad like mine and he is within 50 feet of the strip. It looks like he's shooting video of the old biplanes landing. Idiots like this are going to get drones so regulated we won't be able to do anything with them.

I have a Phantom FC40. It comes with a camera, controller, battery - everything you need except a micro SD card for the camera and 4 AA batteries for the controller. You need a smart phone if you want to fly Point of View. It cost $499.
