Go ahead. Try and make it all the way through.
Come on tough guy. Gut it out.

Egawd...I made it to 0:43 before my ears started bleeding. Painful.

There's a girl who works at my dry cleaner with those studs in the edges of her mouth. I keep thinking she looks like Darth Vader's love child and wonder if she can pick up radio signals with those.
|
While I couldn't look at her 'cause of the lip things, I found the lyrics entertaining. It gets pretty funny toward the end. Yes... I made it to the end.
|
She couldn't carry a tune in a bucket...

That was a chick?
Granted I watched only the first 10 seconds...with the sound off. But it looked like an ugly dude in a pink sweater to me. |
That's 28 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

Throat punch...

Perhaps a tad monotonous.

I liked it. First heard her on the Juno soundtrack. Not everybody's cup of tea.
|
verse after verse, it's the same chit....verse after verse after verse...

I got to 3:40.
On one hand, I want to say it's too whiney and monotonous. On the other hand, he still plays better than I do. And now we know that there are some nice cops in Madison, WI. |
My take: while an argument could be made that her vocals are a bit monotonous - that is her style - like it or not.
It's no secret that the quality of pop music including rock has dropped off since the 90's - at least she is doing something creative and different. Regardless of whether or not you in particular like it. She is Kimya Dawson (born November 17, 1972) - an American singer-songwriter, best known as a solo performer and as one half of The Moldy Peaches. Her music was featured in "Juno". <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/jyRiFj8q2eM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And as performed by Ellen Page.....a bit more pleasant vocals.... <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GqiJOLHfEP0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Ugh, 30 sec.

We're domed.

if you were looking for an excruciating experience (and really, why would you?) try this;
I Accidentally Domed Your Son (2004) - IMDb i will not accept responsibility for anyone that gouges out their eyes or pours hot lead into their ears as a result of this. |
1:50 it's the same sheet over and over again.

My favorite Kimya Dawson lyric (from My Rollercoaster):
