I already decided on the IR for sure. Picking it up tonite just debating the extended warranty for extra 140 for 4years but ill be covered for close to 6 years on the compressor. With the 10% off it will end up being $630.

Warranties and insurance are the same - you are betting it will break and the guy selling you the policy is betting it won't. I'd play the odds and say no.

I have the harbor freight $799 compressor. Works great. Online reviews are out standing, search the harbor freight site.

The coupon won't be accepted, and they must have changed that. The small print says it, at the register won't apply it.

The harbor freight compressor has a much higher cfm rate than the other sub$1000 compressors. And I am impressed, it reaches full psi awfully fast. The same cfm in an ingersolrand was $1500.

Well the difference between the two also, is that the HF is a 2 stage compressor with the higher cfm and the IR is a single stage compressor. That's why I was contemplating the HF. I am going to restore my 66 912, just want a good compressor that isnt goin to limit me in what I want to do. Like for example I will be using a media blaster and sanders etc..... There will be more then one person using.

At one point I was goin to get the one at Lowes which is made by CH. When will the 135psi would come into play for me?
