Out of Re-Hab
65 days sober, feel great, looking forward to my own bed and being back home:)
|
That is fantastic!
I have dealt with addicts (both drugs and alcohol) in the past and know what it takes to become and remain sober. 65 days is a great achievement in itself - congrats and well done! Best of luck on your journey from here on! |
That is huge!
|
Good luck.
|
Great news. Keep it up!
|
Keep on the path and congrats.
Found your other post from a few weeks ago.................I have several friends in the same situation. It helps to keep very very busy from what I can tell. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/823694-sober-50-days.html Quote:

Outstanding. Hoping you continue to build on that achievement.

I am sure you know - but now that the fog is clearing in your head, you can deal with the skelatons in your closet that likely drove you to your addiction in the first place. There may be some difficult times in the near future for you -- don't want to discourage you -- but you may have to face some of them.
If you face them sober - the hurt may be very painful. But. You. Will. Get. Through. It. You will only have the strength to face them with a clear mind. There is no other way. Don't get knocked off your path - stay strong. It takes a strong man to go through what you have done in the past 65 days. Use that strength to continue... -Z |
congrats..

Good for you. Confronting your problems and dealing with them head on. Keep doing so and tell us about your experiences.

I found some passages that have helped me in the past, was going to post them, but then every journey back is unique in the depth of the hole and the path out. I will say that each and every cliche about recovery is true:cool: Do your best, pay attention and don't be afraid of the rest of the day, everyday. |
Keep up the good work! We're all pulling for you!

I do not know if the rehab place you visited uses "sponsors" or others to give you someone to lean on now and then when you need it but having someone to help is pretty good. When I stopped drinking, I would call various people and each one would say "well that's a shame but you don't need to drink or use drugs because of it..." and they were right. Eventually the way you feel now will become the normal for you and you'll find nothing is so bad that drugs or alcohol is needed to master the feelings!
Great job so far! |
Been thru this with my brother. A sponsor is a very good idea. Keep it up.
|
Thanks for posting such a refreshing heart warming thread.
Also well done and congratulations |
Congratulations! Looking forward to the 100 day post- you can do it.
