Finally!!! Office move across town is done.
My wife is probably tired of hearing about it so....
We have been working on moving my group of employees to a better suited facility for transferring what we pick up to the trailers that transport it to our processing facility. During last winter's most coldest days we were doing the transfer outside, truck to trailer. That absolutely sucked!!!! We found a bldg. about 10 miles away in January and have been working on the corporate and real estate process since then. We had some roadblocks to overcome but we finally moved in this past weekend. All the work will be done INSIDE with the trucks and trailers backed in to docks. Weather will not be an issue this winter. I spent a lot of time over the past few weeks at the new office and old preparing for the move. There were a ton of logistics to figure out so that neither my employees or, more importantly, our customers were affected negatively. This morning my drivers all came in and picked up our customers without issues. My point to the blathering is that I was feeling overwhelmed for the past few months with this project as well as the usual baloney that a manager has to deal with. Now, I can take a breath and feel good that we made it happen. Sometimes when you don't think you can manage all that is put on you, you just do what needs to be done. Time for a Stella!! ![]()
