Yes, the new Coyote can be put in there, but the Terminator motor is a pretty popular swap into the new edge styled mustangs.

I am still DD'ing my 1992 5.0 hatchback, it has strengths and weaknesses just like every car.

I have had a few Mustang's over the years.

5.0 swap

Only factor is cost, I have looked at it for my car. $10-12K will do it with all new parts. One thing I don't like is you have to convert to throttle by wire. It's cheaper to buy a used Terminator engine package from Ebay dismantlers. DP

I've had a corvette 74
Look out for rust on these old cars
Their fun to work on and corvettes are cheap
The best is the sound they make or any other v8

I have eyed these several times, including test drives. These ride like scheisse, IMHO. They are just a step above grandma's Buick. The steering and suspension are very mushy. I would likely have to put a few grand into the suspension before I would worry about too little power. I also remember the shifter being from a school bus and don't get me started on the tupperware interior. Plain horror.

That's the reason they aren't expensive!

to be fair my '70 911 shifter often reminded me of a school bus.

I've driven a Prevost with a stick...it shifted much better than my 915 SmileWavy

Went and saw the car. Rims are chewed to pieces, horrible curb rash, one has a small dent. Its gots a bit of rust, a little bondo in the wheel arches, pans/underbody look ok. Front right panel/door don't meet perfectly. I guess for $6k thats about what I should expect. Ran great, flowmasters sound fantastic. Interior look very good for the age. Might look at the car for $5k. But there are a lot of fish in the sea......

That's probably the best part about buying a Mustang, they're not rare or hard to come by.

More time and some patience and you'll find a nice one.

OTOH...they're usually hammered on.

I had to remind myself that you are from the rust belt. Around here $6k will get you a pretty nice '90s Mustang GT without any of those issues. That sounds pretty scary.
