Tim McCarver is spoiling the baseball playoffs for me (I'm a huge baseball fan). He does this every f'in year.
Can't someone gag that bastard for once and for all?

THat;s why I like the WRC anouncer on Speed TV. He knows to just shut-up sometimes, and let the sound of the cars come through:cool: .

IMHO, i think that the Braves announcers (on TBS) are by far the BEST! Yeah, I may be biased, but they know their shhhtuff.

And there is no sportscaster more annoying than John Madden. The man is an idiot. At least Dennis Miller was intelligent... granted he was much much much too intelligent for the average football fan...

McCarver took too many foul tips off the head (and he probably wasn't wearing a mask). He says stuff that is just flat out WRONG. I can't believe he ever played the game...

I don't know... between Dimm Tim and Joe Morgan..... hmmm

I like Joe Morgan as a baseball analyst.... he is terrible as a commentator, though.

Tim McCarver is bad , but what about the Atlanta Braves fans "Tomahawk" celebration??? It drives me up the wall.

Joe Morgan is a gentle old soul, I just can't dislike him, even if he does get kinda mixed up on occasion.

One of my all-time favorite broadcasters is Vin Scully.
He used to be on national TV much more than he is now. When his son tragically died, I think that took a lot out of Vin. Last time I heard him on the radio, he sounded very forlorn.

And yes, I'm glad the "chop" mercifully ended early on in the playoffs!
