Quick Help Needed in Orange County - Cayman Brakes

Looks like I got my brakes in from Pelican this morning. However, I need to get the car turned around quickly. Any chance I can get a hand this weekend? I can provide BBQ, Pizza or Beer. I'm in Irvine (Orange County).

Thanks!

Rotors and pads? Porsche brakes, at least historically, have been super simple to work on. I use to swap out pads at the track and took about 15 minutes on my SC. Now, the pizza and beers is where its at! Unfortunately, I am already committed this weekend and doing a brake job on a Sequoia. I'd say you have a 1.5 hour / 4 beer job on your hands :--)

Just pads & sensors. I have been sick all week so my energy level is reeeeeeally low - hence the help request.

JoeBob, I can bring some tools too and we can knock this out at your pad.

Rotors appear to be OK, only doing the pads. I dont believe I could turn them anyhow.

Well we got the brake pads in......he isn't dead. Looks like he also got new rubber......

Was glad to help...then of course next day I blew up my CV joint. Brando was nice enough to come over and help me pull the axles......dirty nasty job. Funny how one side (wheel) came loose and the trans side needed a cheater bar to break them loose.

Special thanks to Eric at PMB Performance for fast order and allowing me to Will Call the parts at the local supplier in Orange County. Was on the street Monday afternoon. Breakdown was on Sunday.

Hah... "Mexican Lathe" is what an old buddy of mine used to call that.

I like the way these pads grip, but at low speeds they are SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAKY at slow speeds. Maybe the "Pagid S" are a bit too aggressive for street? I don't know.

I left my review for this part# 997-351-939-05-M472

These are the first PAGID pads I've owned on a street car that make such a fuss. Thoughts?
