What value, IYO
 

I was about to offer these two ships model 32-34 " length for sale, locally, because they would not ship well (no pun intended), as they are fairly delicate. But are very well made overall.

I was thinking maybe a bit north of $500?? Too much??

PS I know ya'll will be zooming on my bookcase, but there's nothing to see there.

Serial, I'd guess $500 would be too low. Start at a grand a piece and see how many bites you get.

Titanic stuff is highly collectable but it looks like you don't have enough lifeboats. That could be a problem eventually.

I would go middle of the road and sell for $750 each and start looking for a specialized shipper. You'll get a larger audience and may have to spend $150-200 each for packing and shipping but it will be worth it. Any Titanic memorabilia collectors forums out there? Maybe donate to a local nautical museum for a tax write off?

Anywhere from $50 to $500. It all depends on what someone is willing to pay and the level of detail in the model. Get some good up close shots and throw it on Ebay.

Try checking Ebay for ship models.

My neighbor growing up made ship models that were insanely detailed. He hand made the ropes, laid each plank by hand, bent the rails out of brass etc... If it were something of that caliber I would think $500 is way to low.

I built a 6 foot long scale model of the Titanic once for a local high school play. It looked very much like the top model except that the hull was cut flat just below the red waterline so that it could be pulled slowly across a stage while the set was being changed. As a fairly accomplished model builder, I would be willing to pay more for the top model as it appears to be a more accurate copy. There is a ship museum in Savannah, Ga. that might be interested in one or both. Good luck on getting them sold!
