You can carry from state to state - but must abide by each state's laws. And if you have a CCW, you have greater protection with FOPA (Firearm Owner's Protection Act) which is a federal act, very state laws.

NeedSpeed - if you leave near Woodland Park, then you don't need to travel to NY state to get to Thunder Mountain -- just cut through Wayne and Oakland, zip over Skyline Drive into Ringwood, and take Sloatsburg road to Skylands Manor - and bingo - you are in!

BTW: Woodland Park range has two ranges - a 25 yard range, and the only 50 yard indoor range in NJ. They do rent and allow shotguns - but I am not sure what type of ammo is allowed. Whenever you want - let's go! Weekends are very busy at the range, btw. Mid-week - Tues - Wed, are the best nights to go.

the only 50 yard range in Joisey? Seriously? You can't even sight in a scope properly in 50 yards

Indoor range. Edited my post and added that tid-bit of info. Outdoor, there are bigger ones - even in NJ, IIRC...

My bad...

Well, until it turns Liberal in 10 - 20 yrs.

I live in one of the most liberal states in the country. All I needed to buy my handgun was a driver's license.

You can go to sig's factory in NH and buy a gun of your choosing, no registration bs and take it home. Still some freedom left in this country!

That's more stringent than the UK! Fingerprints? Land of the free? I'm really surprised.
