Vintage Festival Watkins Glen on Friday??

Anyone going this Friday. Seems to be a pretty popular event and I've never been there for this event. Nice follow up to Lime Rock and looks to be cooler and nice weather.

I seem to go every year, but this Friday its suppose to be 90º and humid! So I might blow it off.

I was just planning to go for the Friday activity and not sure where I would be. Probably wouldn't be there for more than a few hours as I'm on ambulace duty at 6 PM in my town.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I'm about 180 miles away, up northeast in the Adirondacks. Retired.

Northeast AK, you must be up the northway a good bit, or perhaps up past Old Forge. I am retired too but work part time for my BIL installing and repairing garage doors and openers. I have been working a lot the past 3-4 months since he has to take his mother to dialysis 3 times a week. It just means I can get better beer, scotch and cigars....lol

I do have today off so I will probably head down to Watkins around noon. You are probably already traveling so wont see this post

I found Widgeon on Main st. We talked for a bit. Unfortunately he got to Watkins early and I got there late. So we didn't get to talk too long, which was a shame. He is a very nice fellow and hopefully we can get together in the future. Maybe next time I will head to Vernon to meet onlycafe and Widgeon can met us there.

Of course we could always have a casual central NY Pelicans meet & greet.

Thanks Skytrooper, sorry I couldn't hang around any longer. not very polite of me. We will get together again soon. Enjoyed meeting you very much. I still marvel at how you picked me out of the crowd, you would be a good terrorist profiler. I must have looked awfully guilty.

We can certainly meet in Vernon sometime. That's a great idea. I got back in time for my Amb duty tonight, much cooler up here as well. take care and hope you had a good drive home.

I can't believe it. I walked right by you shortly after I took that picture. You were down the street after just going into a variety store or gas station. I recognized the car again and saw you right there. Sorry I didn't recognize you. We met a few years ago at your cafe.
