Proving murder was going to be tough. Negligent homicide, well, he admitted to it.

A guilty verdict would have brought him to his knees.

At least he stayed for the trial and did not try to skip town.

He would have jumped bail anyway.

He may not be guilty in a court of law but he is just as innocent as OJ.

I'm not so sure that's the focus of this story.

I think it has more to do with him shooting her to death. Because he's a wack job.

Indeed. He wasn't proven innocent. He was merely acquitted of pre-meditated murder. In her closing statements today the judge clearly hinted at culpable homicide (manslaughter) as being the outcome tomorrow. This is still s very serious charge that could see him face 10-15 years.
