Pistorius Not Guilty

Oscar Pistorius verdict: 'Negligent' but not guilty of murder - LA Times

red-beard 09-11-2014 06:20 AM

I was pretty sure this would be the conclusion.

Don Ro 09-11-2014 06:20 AM

I didn't.

red-beard 09-11-2014 06:26 AM

Proving murder was going to be tough. Negligent homicide, well, he admitted to it.

widebody911 09-11-2014 06:27 AM

I never thought he would walk...

tevake 09-11-2014 06:40 AM

^^LOL
A guilty verdict would have brought him to his knees.

bivenator 09-11-2014 08:11 AM

At least he stayed for the trial and did not try to skip town.

Noney 09-11-2014 08:13 AM

He would have jumped bail anyway.

These jokes never get old...

...of course, neither will Reeva Steenkamp

I think this proves that no matter how hot she is, there's a guy somewhere who's tired of her 5hit.

He may not be guilty in a court of law but he is just as innocent as OJ.

I'm not so sure that's the focus of this story.

I think it has more to do with him shooting her to death. Because he's a wack job.

Chilly night in Cape Town...I don't think Moses could have parted those frills with such alacrity.

Macroni 09-11-2014 09:03 AM

Prosecution over reached should have been a manslaughter type charge....

Four bullets through the bathroom door? I'd say he's about as innocent as Tony Montana.

Well he ONLY shot one person in cold blood, not stabbing and killing two people with a knife.

I am with Jeremy on this one. Whack job, should have gotten old and grey in jail.

That is what he was convicted on.

He is still going to jail. Just not as long as pre-meditated.

Indeed. He wasn't proven innocent. He was merely acquitted of pre-meditated murder. In her closing statements today the judge clearly hinted at culpable homicide (manslaughter) as being the outcome tomorrow. This is still s very serious charge that could see him face 10-15 years.

who cares?
