I'll never forget. I was at work at the satellite factory that morning. By some strange coincidence I was on the phone with my good buddy Zeke who lives out in Missouri. I think we'd figured out a way to call each other on the company's dime and were talking, just catching up.
I remember noticing there was a commotion over at the conference room that was catty corner from my cubical across the room. I prairie dogged up to see what was going on. I could see into the conference room as the door was open and I could see they had the TV on. I told Zeke something was up in NYC and that he should turn on his TV if he had one available. Just then I saw the second plane fly into the tower, and yet the talking head on the TV just seemed to totally ignore it, like they weren't even watching what they were broadcasting. Then they did take notice and all heck began to break out. I don't remember getting much work done the rest of the day. We may have been told to go home for all I remember. All I do know is that life would never be quite the same again. |
Never forget...
This should be a national day of remembrance at the very least. It's a shame that the country isn't as unified as it was. |

I'll never forget the scenes of people jumping...only a part of it.

"She's always a woman"
I can't hear this song now and not think of the debri falling. At about 19 seconds in a person hits the ground. One could not dream up a more distopian situation. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ECgPnpGo_Lo?si=dFKg6HUOEcdoU9dd" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Somewhere of 76, myself and two friends went into the city and we went to the top of the WTC. It was impressive Our son works in one of the WTC buildings now. When I visit him a few weeks ago, I could see his building from Jersey City and said a prayer to protect him and everyone else there |
