I wonder how many people actually KNOW that Facebook (and Google, Yahoo, and others) IS the NSA spying program. They simply accumulate the data they get from those sites.

When a website tracks internet users while not logged into their website, it is called stalking.
Corporations are people.

Recently I searched something on Google Chrome with my windows 7 computer then went upstairs to my Linux box with Chrome 5 minutes later. I immediately started seeing ads based on the first search on the Linux box. Its giving me a very uneasy feeling about it all.

Ads. That's what all these social websites are about, selling data to advertisers so they can be more effective in marketing to a targeted consumer. The sites are personal information collection platforms. When on Facebook, you are NOT the customer...You are the product.

That is what cracks me up... google, yahoo, facebook, etc. they are all altruistic and just doing it for the good of mankind!

Facebook is what you make it.

So they're data mining, big deal. I just ignore the ads.

No more amusing than people decrying surveillance cameras, then recording everything everywhere with their phones.

Whenever I hear a guy talk about Facebook, I always make it a point to say "isn't that for jr. high girls?"

Or that some people are such drama queens they have to "quit" a website, just stop using it and they will delete your account eventually.

Or are you afraid to appear like the abandoned rusted out 72 Buick on the road side of the great information highway?

Am I the only one that thinks it's funny that there is no way to quit PP? OMG they have collected thousands of my posts? Over 11+ years? And now the ads are targeted based on the OT topics I've looked at!!! How do I delete my personal history here? Can future employers or my wire's attorney tell I clicked on the chest/legs/panty threads?

can a cow quit on the way to a slaughter house?
