Door Knobs/Levers/Deadbolts suggestions?

My house has cheap Kwikset door knobs. I'd like to upgrade to something higher quality for both feel and security. Starting w/ outer doors then working inside. Looking for a premium feel and look. Any suggestions/recommendations on brand?

Medeco, for the deadbolts and cylinders.

Lock sets, that would depend on the style of your house.

On all our outside doors I replaced the jam material, many years ago with oak and a 1/4 inch thick embedded plate of steel for the dead bolts to latch into. This should prevent anyone short of a gorilla from breaking the door open. I forget the brand of locks and dead bolts but they have held up for well over 20 years.

Even the best lock is only as strong as the door frame. Most frames are made of flimsy wooden boards with the strike plate at near the very inside edge of the the door. Just a little hard push or a simple crow bar will break the frame and open the door. Ask me how I know!

This. A lock is only as good as the door and jam holding it in place.
That said, you probably have a nice big window right next to your door. Home invasions are easy enough with a cinder block through a window. Rethink your security in terms of automatic alarm and self defense until the uniforms arrive.

Yes. My neighbor's wife is under the influence of exteme insecurity...he did this as well as building his own steel front door. It's beautiful. I ought to photo it and post it...it's amazing looking...arched top, etc.
.
When I bought my place in '10 I went to a Habitat for Humanity thrift store and bought all premium Schlage Home Security door units for pennies on the dollar.
Twelve doors worth, including all 4 bedrooms (each keyed differently from Schlage).
Then had all the exterior doors keyed alike...including kitchen to pantry and pantry door to the garage.
Satin silver with French handles inside...knobs outside.
Then, dual cylinder deadbolts on all 4 exterior doors...again, matching Schlage from the Habitat for Humanity thrift store.

I was looking more for recommendations on quality brands for the door hardware. I live in a pretty safe area so I'm less concerned about ironclad security but I appreciate the responses so far.

Let's say a $200-300 for each exterior door and $100 for each interior door.

Emtek makes a series of sand cast bronze handlesets. They are beautiful, feel great and look better and better with use.

Emtek makes great hardware. I went with Baldwin (similar style to Moses' picture) on all my interior doors with Schlage hand sets for the exteriors. Don't remember exactly, but it seems like the interiors ran maybe $40-$50, maybe the same or a little more for the exterior hand sets. My front door hardware follows the same style & cost a bit north of $600 if I remember correctly. We enjoy them all every day & feel they were well worth whatever I spent.

We have Baldwin locks on the front door and Garage door. I am happy with them.

I used to install a lot of Baldwin, but have gone over to Emtek in the past 8-10 years. Cheaper and just as good. Hagar ball bearing hinges. Stainless body with stainless pin.

Another suggestion is Best locks. Their product line is geared to the commercial market but you might find something you like. Best Access Systems: commercial security solutions provider for door locks and hardware, electronic access systems and key control
