need help with Gmail
So the other day I hear Google Gmail had " some " accounts hacked. So to be safe I decided to change my password. No problem my Gmail account works fine on my laptop computer. But now I can't get it to work on my phone. Gmail sent/sends me a text each time I try to log on with my phone with an activation code. So I put in my password, then the activation code but it says I'm still locked out. Before I try to contact Google just wondering if anyone has run into this situation ?

The only way I could make this work was to
delete gmail account from the phone and then add it back to the phone with new password. |
What is the exact message?
There is a known problem with gmail and IMAP. Been going on for a couple of years now. Deleting / recreating the account works in most instances. |

All fixed I just needed to go to someone younger than me :D On my phone just needed to hold/drag the email Icon to the trash bin symbol then an option to delete popped up. It turns out I had two Gmail accounts on the phone both theoretically the same. Deleted the one and the other works fine. Thanks to all that chimed in. SmileWavy
