Anyone know Gothenburg, Oslo, Bergen?
I'm heading up there in a couple weeks. Renting a car in Gothenburg, and heading north to see the fjords around Bergen. I only have 48 hours, so I need to really try and hit the must-sees. Anyone with any knowledge there? Livi?

I visited Bergen for a month or so way back in '92. I do remember that the fish market was amazing and the fjords are a must see. Enjoy your trip..

I know nothing about Oslo other than is was included in one of the most diabolical crossword clues I can remember:
City in Czechoslovakia. Damn you, Will Shortz ![]()

I have only been to Norway a few times but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking in many places. The Tourist business is florishing and there are a lot of places Worth visiting. If you only have a short time its difficult to choose.
My favorite drives are around Hardangervidda and Geiranger - Trollstigen. Check out the link below. May be helpful. Hardanger - www.nasjonaleturistveger.no

Second the fish market in Bergen. Great event and a beautiful city. Oslo is a typical large city - check out the Viking Museum, Kon Tiki display, and the ski jump. Kroner exchange rate makes Norway very expensive.

Thanks for info, and thanks for that link, Markus. Anyone know if its easy to buy a data sim card at the GOT airport? If so, will it work in Norway, as well?

From Bergen, take the train to Flam. It's on one of the tributaries of the Sognefjord (the largest fjord in Norway). You won't be disappointed.
In Oslo, visit Vigeland Park & Frognerpark (very famous), and the Viking Ship Museum (near Bygdoy) on a small peninsula by the harbor. My wife is Norwegian and we've visited her cousins that live in Bergen and Oslo. Those are "must do's" that her cousin's took us to see.
