If you find that you're entering into a turn/corner too hot - you're in the process of pissing your pants - and you think that you're just not going to execute the turn/corner and you'll run straight off your line and into the ditch (or on-coming traffic)...well, you probably are not leaned over as much as you think/fear.
The average moto will lean more than you think - and safely so.
So trust your bike's geometry and lean that baby over even more.
.
Worse case scenario - better to low-side than run off to the right and hit a tree or run off to the left and head-on a vehicle.

'Hope this makes sense.

this.

Stay in front of the wolf pack. You stay in traffic. You put yourself in that position.

After riding over 50 yrs and in excess of 650,000 miles, 2 things still scare me:

1) Deer
2) Texting (distracted) drivers - Having them coming at me over the centerline is a monthly event.

1) Deer

I learned to not relax too much riding through the CA canyons.
Road Rats.
.
Here in AZ not too much of a threat.

Deer scare the piss out of me. Fortunately, they are not much of a factor on most of the streets and highways I ride on in CA. but everywhere in the country that is rural, they are everywhere. We actually have a lot of them in the Hollywood Hills and on Mulholland but I never see them on the road, either dead or alive. Knock on wood.

Texting drivers don't scare me as much. Don't get me wrong, I think it's terrible that so many people are driving distracted but the ones I see are almost always going down the road straight like zombies as opposed to making quick turns and other unpredictable moves. Generalizing, I know, but I see them everyday. I could see one of them running a red light but I never go through a green light w/o looking both ways and making sure there is a wall of stopped cars, etc.
