A Monkey With a New iPhone - Advice, Please...
OK...just got Paul's (widgeon13) iPhone5 and managed to turn it on.
Screen says, "Set up." Called Cricket store the other day and they said to bring it in. Should I just take it there and let them do the initial "Set up" or should I dink around with it myself. . Be easy, now...I'm not a techie. My old 2007 flip phone is steam-operated...so I'm new to this. :) |
mr. monkey.
take it to the store and let them do what they do. then go online for tutorials and read the manual - you do read English, don't you? :D welcome to 2014. ;) |
You really can't do anything without the Cricket sim installed, so start there!
Or, you could put it in airplane mode, connect to a wifi network, and start learning. |

'Feel like a monkey in front of a set of encyclopedias. :o Thanks. |
Did you get the phone numbers of all of Mr. Widgeon13's old girl friends?

What did he sell me? :D |
OK, got Cricket on the IPhone. Cancelled my Virgin acct. & auto pay.
I can call out on the "new" iPhone, but I still receive incoming calls on my old Virgin phone. I guess it takes a while for Cricket to kick in. Who knows? This iPhone is sumpin' else. Thanks for the input. . PS The signal on my iPhone is clear as a bell, unlike my old Virgin which was spotty at best - constant dropped calls. Last week, I called a salvage yard in Mich. and had to call them back 6 times. |

Don,
This is something I can help you with. While females are still a mystery, modern (ahem, 2 year old) tech is not. |
