Source for quality air hose?
 

For years I've been getting excellent USA-made Goodyear brand hose at Harbor Freight, but they've switched to their made-in-china 5****ty "Central Pneumatic" house brand which I wouldn't trust to air up bicycle tires.

Where can I get good air hose (either 1/2" or 3/8") nowadays? I've done some google searching, but it's impossible to tell where things really come from.

If I needed super high quality air hose I'd call my buddy that owns a large scuba shop that focuses on cave diving to check if he has something that has the dimensions you are looking for. If someone's life depends on it, it probably isn't crap.

I have a few of the Goodyear hoses, but I've also been using a Rigid brand "flexpress" hose from Home depot. It is not as heavy as the Goodyear hose, has good flexibility and has held up being dragged around the shop for several years.

My father uses Speedaire brand hoses in his cabinetry shop and they seem very good. You can get them from Grainger and other places.

I took a look through their catalog - holy smokes they have a lot of interesting stuff!

You should see their warehouse! It is huge. When I needed some fitting for my hydraulic scissor lift I went there. I bought a quick disconnect for the hose to make it easier to for my setup. The guy hopped on an electric scooter and disappeared at 15 MPH and he was gone for 5 minutes. He came back with the fittings in a special carry box. It is amazing how many types of hoses they have, and that is just what is up front. They rebuilt my fuel hoses on my 911 while I waited.
