Give me a 220 lb. moto with 90 hp. and acres of torque, and I'll bang bars with the best...

And we need a 300-hp street bike why, exactly?

That gsxr 1100 of yours was no slouch.
I rode years ago with a fellow who rode a tuned GSXR 1100 ...always at the highest speeds possible. A speed freak!
He said that he would hook his feet under the foot pegs to keep from being ripped off the bike.
He claimed to have gone well over 190 mph (indicated).
We were in Nevada on a pool-table-flat hwy., I was on my '88 FZR1000 (high geared) @ ~ 160 mph, and he pulled away...and markedly so.
I was never into high speeds, myself. Too intimidating for me.
I'm an old fashioned 'canyon carver'...and still alive.

For the same reasons we need hundreds of nuclear weapons, water sold in bottles, 20 piece chicken McNuggets, diamond rings, tattoos, breast implants, McMansions... Because people always think they need more than they have. YMMV.

Ain't that the truth.
And there will always be something out there that will accommodate that 'need'.
If there's money/profit in it, it'll be provided/produced.

I raced in ccs and wera for almost 10 years...we had NOTHING close to this brand of power. 145hp was quite enough to make me ask myself why we needed all this power...and had me longing to go back to enjoy racing 600 supersport!

sad thing is any young recruit can finish basic training and run down to the dealership and get credit...no good

I sooooo want.
tube frame like ducati, plus a 100 more hp over the s1kRR..... haha
Think of the power wheelies on the freeway with that thing.
I think the bike should come with a death and dismemberment policy as a selling point.

plus that looked like a turbo not so much as a supercharger....

Superchargers are driven by the engine. They might be scroll or vane types, but the drive is mechanical. Turbos are exhaust driven.

I cannot imagine twisting the wick on that thing.
