OK it may look like fun but...

That would have to be the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time... It looks like a great way to get killed for real.

You wouldn't get me near that thing. I wish them good luck. They'll need it.

I agree it's kind of a dumb thing. Whoever put it together must have not had too much to do otherwise. When you have a tractor, you really understand it's a work machine. Mine never get faster than a brisk walking pace. With such a short wheel base, I wouldn't want them going any faster.

The thing looks unsafe for sure. I don't think the guy is even belted in. Definitely too much time on his hands. It does sound good though.

I grew up driving tractors on a farm.
First thing I thought watching that was something like, "Dumb guts!"

I think its a local cult-like thing. By an ancient law young teenagers there were allowed to drive "tractors" before they are old enough to get a driving licence, so old cars are converted to tractors for the kids to burn around in.

Bit of a "rite of passage" that most guys grow out of when they get into proper cars.
I guess this guy just never grew out of it.

In Australia you have to now have proper roll cages. even on ATVs as so many young kids were rolling them & killing themselves. Quite a few women have been seriously injured too.

From a person who put a small block in a jaguar, a 13B rotary in a Fiat X1/9, and a twin plug short stroke 3.2 911 engine in a 550 replica...

THIS IS AWESOME!!!

I can't imagine driving that thing.
I had a 1935 Silver King. It would get up to 45 mph. With no suspension it jumped around on the road like a big toad. If you hit a bump right it would get into a side to side roll and bounce off of the right tires onto the lefts and back. Now and then it would start rocking end to end. The best part was the brakes were operated by hand. To slow down from 45 mph you had to take both hands off the wheel and pull on each handbrake - equally to keep going straight, give it a little more left brake if it was drifting right, etc. I don't know how I survived.

That's a beautiful machine!
I grew up operating farm machinery - tractors, etc. - and your description is spot-on.
