going to see Sir Paul in a few hours
Yep going to go see Paul McCartney in concert tonight in Atlanta. Grew up on the Beatles and figured I better go see him while still verticle. I have heard to expect a great concert so really looking forward to it. This will be the first concert for me and the wife in about 35 years  .

I've seen him a couple times, and both were great experiences.
In both shows I attended, he came across as someone who was genuinely enjoying himself, feeding off the energy from the audience, which seems to be a unique quality these days (I just came back from seeing Loretta Lynn play the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and it was the same kind of feeling). Have a good time. |
Enjoy. I saw Paul during a stop in the Wings Over America tour in 1976. While his voice isn't as strong now, he is a good showman. You will enjoy it. Hearing him sing Yesterday was the highlight for me years ago.

Saw him at the honda center in ana-slime (where the mighty dux play) several years ago, best concert ever.

He was here in Dallas Monday night. I didn't go to the concert, but heard he performed 39 songs, played over 3 hours and was outstanding.
Guess stage was interesting too. Apparently, there are video screens on the bottom portion of the stage that shows pictures while he performs his stuff. Kinda hard to visualize, but I heard it was cool and unusual. Also, there was a separate part of the stage rising over 30 feet into the air (I guess to get closer to the fans in the nose-bleed seats). Enjoy! |
Saw him at Dodgers Stadium a month or so ago. Excellent. His band took a few breaks, he didn't.

Wife and I saw him at Chastain a few years back...phenomenal time!

Have a great time. A friend traveled to Lubbock, TX to see him a couple weeks ago. He said the concert was incredible. Over 3 hours straight of Paul being a musician. Lots of activity for any age, but especially impressive at his 70-some years.

A great concert ! Yes he played for just under 3 hours with a great mix of old and new songs. Did a great tribute to John and George which I thought was a nice touch. I was amazed he can still really rock but has lost a little but still great. You can tell he enjoys what he is doing a real showman. His band was good and the backdrop to the show had two rolling picture stories one on each side of the stage. Showed so many pics of him and family/band mates over the years it was really cool. He must have switched out 15 guitars and played keyboards he's still quite talented. When the band went to rest he stepped onto another section of the stage that raised up and he played three songs from there.........awesome. Money well spent I'm glad we went........and the place was packed !!

Jolly good!

I knew you'd have a good time.
My sis-in-law went to his show at the 'stick up in SF a few months back. She said it was the best show she'd ever been to. |
How old was Paul when he and John first met 19, 20?
Imagine the long and winding road. |
