Visit Lego Land when waterpark is closed?

Might be able to do a mini break in San Diego and wondering if it is worth it to do Lego Land when the waterpark is closed.
Thanks,

I think it would be okay. I went with my grandson when that part was closed, then went back later in the week. There is an aquarium deal that is pretty neat, and it has a lot of stuff besides the water park. They have a deal where if you buy the tickets in advance on line, you get a second day at the park for free.

It is sort of geared toward little kids, small roller coasters and rides. There is also some interactive stuff that is free, but you have to sign up to do it.

We just did it on Friday last week and it's fun. Really depends on your kids - we were there basically for the the afternoon. My oldest wanted to do the water park but we new it was closed.

Lego Land is not that big but the lines can be long. My boys are 9 and 6 and they love it.

Also see if you can stay in the lego land resort as all the rooms are themed rooms and awesome.

Another buddy of mine just did that two weeks ago and said it was awesome.

I think its a rip off. Good for a one night stay and the kids will have a blast for the first couple of hours. Other then that, nothing to write home about. There are hotel around the area that are much nicer, perhaps cheaper.

We did the park without the water park first time around, but the second time they had a god time. My suggestion is to go through the rides first and save the water park last because its a mess. Especially nice if you are staying in the Lego hotel. Just walk over and get then clean up. Get out of there for dinner.

Great, thanks for your input.
Did the online purchase for the two days for one price. We can do most of the park when the waterpark is closed and return on the weekend weather permitting. Either way it works out.
We booked a place through Airbnb. If it all works out, we will be there when my wife has a conference.

Weather permitting? what do you think this is, Calgary? I know its started to get cold up there, so my cousins tell me. When you you guys be here? Between now and the middle of November, all you will need is a long sleeve shirt and there's very less likely we will have rain.

Take a half hour drive and have dinner in San Diego. Seaport Village or GasLamp District are both pretty cool places. Seaport is right off the water. How old are the kids?

Also, if you grab a lego kids magazine it has tickets in there that get the kids in free with adult ticket purchase.

We can have snow in any month here and often do!

Never trust the weather, it will turn on ya...

Little guy is 6 and pretty pumped about Lego Land. Good to know the weather is pretty consistent this time of year. I have only been there twice. Both times in the fall and both times the weather was beautiful.

I know, I have experience that weather especially up near Banff this time of the year, it can get cold real fast. As kids, we use to go up every other summer and winter.

Weather is pretty consistent through out the year. An occasional rain will happen Between December to late Feb or maybe march. Summers are pretty hot for about 2-3 weeks, other then that, shorts and tee shirts. Our little guys are 6 and 8 and they are never tire of Lego Land.

Well, it was awesome....
6 years old was perfect for Lego Land. We would have gone back for the waterpark on the weekend but there just wasn't enough time.
We were in San Diego for too short of a visit from last Thursday to Sunday.
The visit was pretty action packed though with a visit to Lego Land on Friday, the Air and Space Museum on Saturday morning, and a Semi private tour of the Zoo on Saturday afternoon.
Great way to see the Zoo's highlights without the lines in a limited amount of time. We were allowed some behind the scene access to several exhibits and quick access to the busiest attractions.
Wish I had time to check out the car show up by Lego Land at the outlet mall on Saturday but like I said, not enough time.
We stayed on the east side of Balboa Park in an Air BNB residence. Was a very cool neighborhood.
Thanks for your recommendations.

I would not bother staying at the Legoland hotel. The West Inn is close by and is great.
