I'll be there in about 8 days, as well. Just planning a drive-thru. Want to check out a bit of the F1 course. Parking is the challenge.

Drive a Model T, parking is easy then.

Haven't been there for awhile. But be sure to walk the GP course, maybe a couple of laps. I think you have to be dressed with coat and tie to get into the casino and Hotel de Paris, but maybe that's changed. Nice concert hall there in the structure above the tunnel, maybe take in some music. Go up to the old town on the cliffs. Nice up there, it's where the royal palace is. Eze, a tiny hilltop town just to the west, also is a cool little place and very scenic. Bring lots and lots of money.

Go to Nice and eat at Merenda or Chez Antoine for lunch. The later has the best steak tartare.

We are staying in Nice on the beach. We'll be sure and check those places out, thanks.

drive la turbie up above mc in the mountains... its the ultimate switchback road, where grace kelly bought it in the cheesy jag. watch out for kamikaze eurotrash bikers trying not to go high side ..but will pass you anywhere.

the new ycm : yacht club de monaco building is fantastic. take the water taxi to it across harbor for lunch.

must have drink bar.. hotel de paris ...

the oceanography museum on "the rock" is not to be missed if you are at all interested in the natural world.

dinner at la rascasse restaurant is great ..not high class just bar food but great gp pics on wall

nightlife one block away from rascasse.. stars n bars cafe on the quai d'antoine... total gp decor ... russian harlot hangout but nice enuf to take wifesky

ahhh memories ... too much time spent ( wasted?) on sailboats in that harbor...

if time: san remo across italian frontier is only about 1 hr away gorgeous place

Motion, we are staying in Nice as well. Will be in Barcelona next week and then Nice on the 30th through the weekend. We are also staying on the beach. You going to be around on those days?

Geneman thank you for the recommends, do I need to bring a jacket and tie to get in the casino?
